So....we're having a good time in Washington. Jo is working on her 5th tooth. The 4th came through the day before Father's Day. Rye is having a blast playing with all her cousins. Jo is getting better and better at crawling. She's doing more on her knees and is getting better at sitting up from crawling too. She loves to touch everything and is such a fun little girl. She's got a great little personality and is very expressive. I've got some pics that I'll try and put up soon. We're planning on hitting the zoo for Rye's birthday, that will be fun. Just wanted to check in.

8 years baby!
I can't believe it's been 8 years already. But at the same time I feel like I've loved you my whole life. I miss you so much hunny and it hurts my heart that we're not spending this special day together. We'll have many more to celebrate in the 50 odd years to come, so I guess I can give a few here and there to the Corps. I thought in honor of our 8 year anniversary I'd share 8 memorable moments that I've shared with the bestest hubby in all the world:
1. That first night I saw you. I knew there was something special about you. So special that I couldn't stop thinking about you that whole month before we actually met.
2. The utter embarrassment I felt the night we did meet at Lasers. I'll always remember dancing to Lady in Red with you and the fact that from that night on we were inseparable.
3. The famous Christmas Incident...the Griswold's ain't got nothing on us.
4. Our wedding day. It was so much fun and so relaxed. I love that I drove us all to McDonald's afterward with all of my dress floofed up around me in the drivers seat. I married my best friend that day, it's the happiest of my life.
5. The girls births. You were so amazing and patient at both and so in love with our girls from the first moment you saw them. You are the best Daddy they could ask for.
6. All the times you've made me laugh. You are such a goof in the best way possible. I love that you can always make me laugh.
7. The night you left for Iraq. The tears in your eyes and in your voice as we said good bye. I have never felt to loved in my life.
8. This one hasn't happened yet but I'm expecting it to be memorable. The day you come home. I will be the happiest wife, EVER.

Joey has taken to try and crawl down the hall to try and find Rye. It's so funny to hear her "calling out" for her. And she start laughing up a storm when Rye comes out and sees her.

One cute chica!
Just some shots of Jo from when the folks were here. Her outfit was too adorable not to take pictures.
This is her looking at her Papa. Every time she sat in her high chair to eat she had a perfect view of him and took full advantage of it. She was always smiling at him.

Before & Afters
I have lots of before and after pics for you. Some of Rye's room and some of her teeth/mouth. We'll start with the room. Here is the jumbled mess before..

Nice, right?! Yeah, that's what I thought! It's not completely done but enough that it warranted a picture. We've worked hard on that room, more me than Rye and Mom helped me with some stuff too while they were here. Now, onto the teeth pictures. There are 4, one before (if you look closely above the missing tooth are you can see the bulge in her gum that is the extra baby tooth *ick*. Then there comes the pics right after she got it done. Pitiful! Then a pic I took today, it's a little fuzzy but you can make out the difference in the gum. It's kinda weird to feel it too. *double ick*

Rest your Head
and have a chat with Daddy. Got these pillows for the girls and put a smokin' hot picture of Daddy in them...they both seem to love them. Rye was hugging hers all night and JO was burying her face in it.
