Wedding & Baptism

The wedding went pretty well. Eric and I did a reading, which was very nerve wracking for me, as I don't do well infront of people. We felt honored that they asked us to be a part of the ceremony. The biggest down side I guess was having to miss all the dancing at the reception. Jo was pooped and Rye wasn't feeling well and wanted to go home, and seeing as she had been really looking forward to the dancing bit...I knew something was wrong. She had a temp that night of over 102. It's that durn tooth of hers. I think within a month I'll be sharing pics of Rye with 2 front teeth. Yay! Here are some pics from the day.

The Longo Legacy, thus far

Josefine's went well. She cried during the water part and she gave Father Scott the look all through the beginning (this made it very hard not to laugh), but other than that it went off without a hitch. We had a nice dinner at the inlaws before heading out for bachelor and bachelorette parties. It was a busy day but a good one.



Before heading up to Eric we spent a few days in Pittsburgh with Greg, Michelle and their girls. We had such a great time hanging out with them. It was so relaxed and fun, just what we needed after a night filled with flying. Both flight, coming and going, went very well. Rye was a champ and Jo only had a few fussy moments. But it was tiring none the less.

It was a great trip home and we're looking forward to the next one, though we're not sure when that will be.

Lots to see...

Lots to see today. A post filled with a little bit of everything. Let's start it off with a few cute and sweet pics of the littlest. Laughing at herself, playing with dad and just being cute.


Rye turned in her bad buddy for school. She had to choose a character from a book she's read and make a puppet out of it. She loved doing this project. She chose the girl from her new book Pinkalicious. It's a bout a little girl who turns pink after eating too many pink cupcakes...it's very cute.

I mentioned before Jo's new look. We have dubbed it the face, so as not to confuse it with the look. I have captured it on film and it is quite adorable.



So we got Jo a hat and we've been putting it on her to practice for Pennsylvania. You know how babies are with having things on her head. She's been wearing it for longer and longer periods of time. She looks so sweet it in and she knows it. Hehe. I have to find the picture I have of rye in her pumpkin hat around the same age and we'll compare....



She's really taken to the hat. She'll bring it to you and scream and then go play with it on for a little while before taking it off. It's so cute.

A little preview of Halloween. It's going to be so much fun. Especially since Eric is going to home. Yay!

Tuesday

Okay Heather...I will do this week in my life thing. It may bore you all to tears...so sorry. I don't have any pictures to share...I'm on Eric's laptop right now. So yesterday (TUESDAY) I didn't do too much.
I took Rye down to school. Luckily, Eric got a ride into work as it was very rainy all morning. After I dropped Rye off I reparked the car in the front of the school and went by the Book Fair they're having and got Rye a diary and a book. I think went to the Citizenship Assembly. Rye's class was reading a story they wrote about an enormous chocolate bar. Then Jo and I went by the MCX to get a few things. We then went back home and put little Jo down for a nap. Eric came home for lunch. We had a few hours so we watched Iron Man. I loved it. I'm such a sucker for Super Hero movies. There's also a hint at the end that they're might be an Avengers movie in the works...AWESOME!
So we hung out for a while. Then we looked online at some suit options online. Eric needs one for the wedding, that's a whole other story. So after he went back to work I played with Jo until it was time to get Rye. When we got home we worked on her homework and had snacks. We started working on her Bag Buddy (more on that later). I started getting dinner ready while we waited for Eric to get home. We had dinner and hung out and watched some tv. Put the kids to bed, gave Eric a hard time for skipping his "dishes night"...again. Then off to dream land.
That's my Tuesday...how fun.
Oh, Jo also turned 11 months today! Such a big girl...she has a new 'face' she does now. I'm trying hard to get it on film (whether it be video or pictures), when I do, I will share.

Busted

Yesterday poor Joey bit through her bottom lip. Nothing major, thankfully. But enough that I started crying as I was mopping up the blood from her mouth. I have never heard one of my children scream like that, I don't even think Rye did when she busted out that front tooth...but I may have been in too much of a daze to realize it if she was, and I hope to never hear it again. Thought I'd show a few pics that show her battle scar...I'm not sure how easy it'll be to see, you might have to click on the pic and see it bigger. She's been such a trooper, like it never even happened, kids are so resilient.



And you know I have to post any pictures of the look. She gives the look to everything and everyone. Mirrors, computers, strangers, couches, us. It is so funny. I can't stand it.
