Baby Stuff

So we bought three things for the baby over Memorial Day weekend. We wanted to get them before we move so we don't have to worry about shipping...not to mention that they probably don't even ship to Hawaii. We think that they'll all work for either a boy or a girl and we really like them. So I will now share pictures of them.

CRIB

CHANGING TABLE

(we'll be using this instead of a dresser to save room since we'll probably end up in a 2 bedroom. we'll get baskets or totes to put on the shelves. we probably won't ever use it as a changing table, we never used a specific area for wonderkid either.)

STROLLERSo, there they are. We also have three things out of the Fisher-Price Rainforest Collection. The cradle swing, the bouncy seat and the playard. I got these because the Navy Exhange was having a great sale on them and I totally love the collection. There will definitely be some more of them when we make a registry.

MPM

The time has come again. Again, I won't be posting set days for the meals I have planned out. I kind of just wing it.

-Ham & Potato Au Gratin

Corn on the Cob
-No Peek Chicken (recipe below)
salad
-Hamburger patties w/ cheese
Garlic Mashed Potatoes w/ Crunchy Onion (the only way I will eat instant potatoes now)
Some veggie
-Pizza
Raw veggies w/ dip
-Chicken nuggets
Fries
salad
-Leftovers

No Peek Chicken

1 1/2 cups minute rice

1 pkg. dry onion soup mix

1 can cream of celery soup

1 can cream of mushroom soup

3/4 cup water

4 boneless/skinless chicken breasts (my mil has used thighs too for dark meat)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x13 baking dish and place chicken in the bottom of dish. Mix together the rest of the ingredients in a bowl. Pour over chicken. Cover with Tinfoil and bake for 2 hours. No peeking!

(My mil also said that if you want to add in more chicken, increase the rice to 2 cups and the water to 1 cup. She usually has both breasts and thighs stuffed into the pan.)

16 weeks & counting...

12 weeks
16 weeks
Thought I'd share the belly pics. Most of you know I had a doctor's appointment on Tues. I go back in 3 weeks. My u/s is scheduled for the 11th of June (I tired to get it one the same day as my appointment but they didn't have anything open that day. Bummer). I am so excited though. I am taking WonderKid with me, she can't wait. She keeps asking if it's time yet.
She's doing tons of sweet stuff. Everyday she gets off the bus she gives me a hug then lays her head on my belly. We were snuggling before bed the other night and she laid there and started patting my belly as she was falling asleep. Is it any wonder I love her so much?!
It may have taken us a good while to decide for another. but I think the wait was the right choice for us. It just seems so perfect.
So, I have nothing to do today. Nothing at all. I could do a little cleaning, but I think I'm going to go over to Target and Babies R Us and just look around at baby stuff. I like doing that. We've got our crib, changing table (we'll use it w/ baskets for a dresser) and stroller/car seat picked out. Planning on getting those before we leave so we don't have to worry about shipping. I'll post some pics once we get them. Other than that I'm trying not to get anything until after we move. I am making a mental list of what boy and girl things I like though. How could I not?

MPM

Well, I have decided to join in the fun of Menu Plan Mondays, hosted by Orgjunkie. I have been eating way too much junk food since Mr.W had been out of town. Living off of hot pockets, chicken nuggets and totino's pizza cannot be that healthy, as much as I'd like it to be. So I though this might be a way of eating a little better and putting on some of the weight that WonderBun needs me to have. And getting used to doing it now will help me to do it when Mr.Wonder is home from school. Which will make for more pleasing meal times, even if WonderKid will probably never eat anything I make. She enjoys the afore mentioned diet and cannot be swayed from it, no matter how hard I try. Please note, I added in yesterdays meal because it was my first foray into this meal planning thing and as it turned out remarkably well I thought I would mention it. The rest of the week I don't have exact days set for each meal because, being pregnant, my tastes change dramatically from day to day. So, away we go (I will be halving all of these recipes, too much food for one person)...
Sunday-Shrimp Fra Diavolo, Lemon Spaghetti & Parmesan Popovers
(note: this turned out great. the popovers were okay but I loved the shrimp with the spaghetti. lemon goes so well with seafood. if you're a seafood lover this is a must try. The leftovers of this are awesome too!)
And here are the other meals for the rest of the week....
-Chicken Nuggets & Fries
-Croque Madame (I may be doing this one with or without the egg, I have not yet decided) & Salad

-Penne w/ Beef & Arugula, French Bread
-Chicken Parmesan, Salad
-Leftovers & Ears of Corn
And a night out to eat with my best girl.
So, that's about it for my first go at this. Let me know what you think.
